If you have a daughter(s) you learn real quick what a pain it is to brush hair in the morning. When her hair is short, it’s not so bad, but when those beautiful locks begin to grow, the tangles and knots in it just multiply.
Kennedy has really long hair, and it gets knots and tangles if you just look at it the wrong way. It was a crying fest every morning to try to brush through it before we would leave the house. I was contemplating cutting it short just to skip the struggle.
Then I have Jules – who has extremely curly hair. When she gets out the bathtub we HAVE to brush it some, or it would just stay looking like a rat’s nest. Trying to brush through knotted curls is NO fun. I had to find a better option.
The “technology” behind it is the different lengths of teeth on the brush. When brushing, they bend just right, to gently untangle the hair.
Now, on other sites, I see it priced for $20-25; however, Wal-Mart sells it for $10.00. This was the best money I have ever spent. I simply spray some detangler (brand doesn’t matter in my opinion), and then comb through with The Knot Genie.
I then came across a similar version at Wal-Mart (Goody brand), so I bought that one as well to keep in our bag. This one was about $4.00. Both work VERY similar. I can’t tell the difference when using either one on my own hair; however, my diva Kennedy always picks The Knot Genie one for me to use on her hair.
So if you or your girl has extremely curly or knotty hair, I highly recommend this brush! We went from screaming fits to no tears when doing hair in the morning!
