This weekend was full of Halloween fun! We planned our annual Pumpkin Carving Contest for Friday, so we needed to pick out some pretty pumpkins to carve! After my mom and I picked the girls up from school, we headed to the local pumpkin patch for some fun. Of course I had to change them into their festive matching clothing ;)
They were so cute walking in…just holding hands and being so sweet.
Our first stop was the photo stand prop thing (what are these called anyway?)
The girls had fun picking out the biggest, smallest, heaviest pumpkins they could find!
I just love having our pumpkin patch tradition! Here are some pictures from previous years:
We then went take pictures next to the beautifully decorated gazebo. They loved the scarecrows!
Here’s some pictures from previous years! My babies were so little!
The “haunted house” was next! Jules loved the big skeleton, and Kennedy liked the scary face in the mirror. “But Momma, I know it’s just pretend.”
We walked around the grounds where the girls found an alligator and deer! They rode the deer like a horse and were saying, “yee haw!!”
Kennedy and her class recently read “Spookley the Square Pumpkin” and she talks about the book always. Nana taped the movie at her house, so the girls love to watch the show also. At the pumpkin patch, they found Spookley and took a picture. I told them I would work my magic to make him look just like the real one. He turned out great :)
When it was time to leave, Nana found two extra cute pumpkins for the wheelbarrow. They rode like this to the car!
Perfect afternoon before we headed to our Pumpkin Carving and Decorating Contest! Post to come soon :)
