Once we picked our perfect pumpkins at the Pumpkin Patch, we headed to our house to get ready for our Pumpkin Carving Party! (hence the same clothes as last post LOL)
Last year we had a pumpkin carving contest, and we had so much fun we decided to make it a tradition.
Everyone brought a dish. Our friend Pearlie made these super cute ghose brownies. They were so good – just ask Harley to took the last 4 :/
Before we started carving, we let the kids paint their own pumpkins they brought. Everyone brought a little pumpkin, and I bought finger paint and sponge brushes for the kids to decorate. I put down some cardboard boxes on the grass and let the kids go! They had a BLAST.
The finished products came out so cute!! They did an awesome job. Kennedy is already asking if we can do this again next year.
Don’t worry, Baby Cohen, you will get one next year! (By the way: look at Aunt Jill’s new bling on that finger!)
Now that the kids were done, it was time for the adults to have some fun. Let the carving contest begin!
Addison Kate is the oldest of the kids, so she decided that she would carve a pumpkin all on her own. She did awesome.
Laurie and Henry with their finished product!
Addison Kate with her cute little pumpkin she carved all by herself!
Seth and I were so proud of our pumpkin – little ET. Maybe I’m a little biased, but I believe he was the cutest :)
So what’s a contest without any judges? My mom and dad (and friends) stayed away until everyone was finished so they could judge the cutest pumpkin, the most original, and the overall winner.
Here is the Most Original winner – scary werewolf monster thing. Dlo did an awesome job and took the title for the second year.
Here was the Cutest winner – three pumpkins. Pearlie also took her title for the second year.
The overall winner went to Addison with her classic Jack-o-lantern! She deserved it :)
Here are the rest of our pumpkins – the honorable mentions!
And here he is… my husband and I’s masterpiece. The judges had no heart for this adorable little guy :)
It was a fun night and the kids had a blast – can’t wait to do it again next year!
