Ahh the excitement on a little one’s face when they wake up Easter morning to see what the bunny has brought!
The bunny at our house fills a basket; however, he does not go crazy. For Kennedy’s first Easter, the bunny went nuts. Then, I realized how much stuff she received from grandparents, aunts, uncles, etc. and the bunny switched up his game. I really try and keep it at a minimum for Easter, because I just feel it can get a little overboard. I will save my overboard moments for Christmas and birthday parties :)
Since the girls love playing with their dollhouse lately (they play every single night), they each received some dollhouse furniture from the bunny. Just with that, they were completely thrilled! They were even more interested in what the bunny brought their little brother!
After the morning excitement, the girls got dolled up in their Easter dresses. I had to take a picture of Kennedy’s hair, because I was pretty proud of myself. You can do anything if it comes with a YouTube tutorial :)
We celebrated Easter with my inlaws on this day…in “Choupic”. Each family brings their own barbeque pit (there are about 5 pits lined up), and everyone just relaxes while the men cook all the meat. Again, the kids ate mostly candy. They were running on sugar fumes all weekend.
The girls had fun playing with their cousins they don’t get to see very often. They played games, crafts, and had another Easter egg hunt! The men kept occupied playing in their annual horseshoe tournament.
Again, we came home with way too much stuff – all signs of another successful Easter holiday. I don’t know about the girls, but this momma was exhausted. The weekend wore me out! I am so thankful to be surrounded by good friends and family!
