Easter Cuties 2016

We had another wonderful Easter to add to the books. Easter day was rainy, but the kids enjoyed the festivities despite the weather.

On Easter Eve, we spent the day at Nana & Grampi’s house. We BBQ’d and decorated Easter eggs.DSC_0031

That night, we forgot to leave carrots for the Easter Bunny, but he didn’t mind and passed at our house anyway!

Yes…this is the hair I deal with every morning :)

When Easton finally woke up, the girls were SO excited to show him what the Easter Bunny brought. They would not get out of his face, poor thing. They kept shoving each new toy in his face, and he just kept looking at me…”help mom!”

I’m a little obsessed with Easton’s Easter outfit – I know I’m biased, but OMG how cute. Not to mention the adorable fedora to top it off <3

On Easter Day we spent the day with our family in Choupic. It was rainy, but the kids had fun regardless.

While the kids made bunny headbands, Jules and Easton fell asleep to the sound of the rain.

We ended the day with an inside Easter egg hunt, and by painting some crosses the girls received.

So thankful to spend each holiday with some amazing people! I say it all the time, but we really are truly blessed.

Annual Neighborhood Easter Gathering

Every year our neighbor, Aunt Connie, put on an Easter gathering for the kids. They look forward to it every year – especially since the Easter Bunny always makes a surprise visit. This year, we had many of the activities inside, because the weather was cold and rainy on this particular day. I don’t think the kids ever noticed!

We started off dying eggs – one of their favorites! Easton enjoyed watching all the chaos around!

Next, they had sack races around the living room – our kid crew is growing by the month! Literally!

Next, the kids enjoyed an Easter egg hunt outside! Kennedy used this time to practice her two-wheel skills…I think she’s finally got it by herself!

We then sat all the kids down so that they could sing, “Here Comes Peter Cotton Tail” REALLY loud. Legend has it, that if you sing really really loud….Peter Cotton Tail himself may appear!!!!

We are so lucky that Aunt Connie does this for the kids every year – thanks again! Hopefully next year we will have better weather!

SPC Festival 2016

Some of the activities planned for our festival this year had to be put on hold because of the rain; however, the last day turned out to be a gorgeous day for a fair!

The girls enjoyed riding some of the rides with their cousins (on both sides), and Easton enjoyed just people watching.

The ferris wheel has got to be one of my favorites to ride on with the kids. Their faces just light up, and they laughed the entire time. I was cracking up laughing at them.

Easton much have watch the wheel go round and round too many times, because he was out by the time we finished!

After we played some games (Daddy didn’t even have to help them this year), we ended up with 4 goldfish. Kennedy named her two Bella & Ella…and Jules named her two Salt & Macoroni!

Thanks SPC for another successful and fun year!

Talkin’ with Jules

You know those people who are all over the place when you are having a conversation with them? That’s Jules. She changes her subjects so quickly, and she is so funny.

Yesterday when I was talking with her about her day at school, I took my camera out and started recording. Sweet moments like this is what I live for! Excuse busy body Easton in the background – Lord help me when that boy is mobile…he wants to be everywhere!
