The girls (and mom) were counting down the days until our family vacation at the beach. We went to Orange Beach with a bunch of our friends and kiddos – 21 kids in all to be exact :)
The gulf was so calm and beautiful the first day we were there – it looked like glass!
I just adored the beach hats I bought for the girls – they looked like little movie stars with their big sunglasses.
Within 15 minutes of being on the beach, Easton fell asleep….this was a reoccurrence EVERY. SINGLE. DAY. The boy could not keep his eyes open! He would sleep for about 2 hours in the morning and then again in the afternoon! We had a fan blowing on him, and he just slept to the sound of the waves….the life! What a beach bum!
When he finally woke up, I was so excited to get his little fat toes in the sand. Well, he loved the beach – if he was not touching the sand! He hated the sand! He enjoyed sitting on a chair or on a mat/towel, but did not like his feet or hands touching the sand.
Every night, one family took a turn cooking supper. The kids occupied themselves in the grassy area near the pool, or on the nearby tennis court. These are the perks that come with ground floor condos! We all just sit and relax while the kids play until they wear themselves out!
One of my favorite parts of everyday was having my morning coffee on the balcony. Most times, Easton would be my company, but sometimes I would be all alone!
When Seth and the girls would wake up, he would cook us all some breakfast, and we would have a little picnic on the balcony table. Those meals will never get old!
To show our patriotism (and to help the kids know exactly where we were on the beach), the guys would raise a flag everyday. I just love this picture of them putting up the flag. All of the “big kids” helped too!
Our entire vacation was spent on the beach everyday…we only left the condo to go to our favorite place…Flora Bama :)
