This year was a treat, because I was able to attend both girls field trips at the same time! PreK-4 & Kindergarten went to Ms. Heather’s Pumpkin Patch in Hammond, and it was a blast. They wore the pumpkin t-shirts they designed in class (they each were able to design their pumpkin face).
They started off petting the donkey, posing for some photo ops, and getting their faces painted.
It was so extremely hot. Only in Louisiana can you pick pumpkins while sweating profusely. I should have brought more water in their lunch boxes, because they kept asking for drink!
We were so excited to see some surprise visitors show up!
We then headed to the play area where they could swing, jump on the incredibly fun air bubble contraption, and rode their first zip line!
It didn’t take Kennedy & Jules long to find the perfect pumpkin. They picked one, weighed it, and then wrote their names. We decorated them with colorful marker when we got home.
Next, the girls played with the water pumps – Jules said it was hard work making the water come out!
After a picnic lunch, they ended the trip by throwing bean bags and measuring their heights. Kennedy is almost 4 feet tall! Jules is just over three feet! They are both growing like weeds.
It was a bonus that I was able to attend their field trips at the same time. Love these girls, and I love how close they are with one another. Thanks to the teachers for another fun day!
