We booked our trip through a free travel agency that Disney provides – and our local agent just so happens to be a friend! Sadie at Say Magical Vacations was so helpful in all of our planning, and she sent us a bag of goodies the week of the trip!
We had an early flight to Orlando, and the girls were up at 3:30am ready to roll. They walked through the airport and rode the plane like they travel all the time – no big deal!
We checked into our hotel – Port of Orleans Riverside. Such a pretty place!
We dropped our luggage off at our resort and headed straight to Epcot. The park was packed, so we knew we had to ride the most popular attractions first.
The girls made the height requirements for most rides (Jules is 40 inches exactly), so they were thrilled to learn we would be riding the majority of the rides at Disney. We waited for a while at Soarin’, but it was so worth the wait. We soared through some of the most beautiful places in the world!
Next we headed to The Seas with Nemo & Friends. We traveled under water to see Nemo, Dory and all their friends.
After we walked the entire World Showcase, we headed to meet Mickey & Friends and the Epcot Character Spot!
The girls were wearing matching Minnie Mouse bows – Minnie LOVED them – she kept pointing at them and making a heart with her hands :)
Next we headed to the ride they were waiting for….Frozen Ever After…the reason we went to Epcot in the first place. This attraction was being created when we visited 2 years ago, so we were excited to ride the finished product. It was so beautiful! The girls still talk about this ride.
To finish off an amazing first day, we had dinner with the princesses at Akershus Royal Banquet Hall. We first met Belle in the lobby – Jules kept touching her dress…she just couldn’t help herself.
While we were eating, Ariel, Cinderella, Aurora, and Snow White all came visit our table. They talked so sweetly and told us a little bit about their lives at their castles. I love seeing the magic in the girls’ eyes.
To say were exhausted after this first day was an understatement. We had all been up super early…and this was the day with the most walking. We crashed that night, but were up early again for round 2.
