Kennedy’s 8th Birthday – Beads Everywhere

We had a small get together for Kennedy’s close friends and family. Cake and sweets were on menu!

We had ten girls over to create some adorable jewelry. The owner of a local boutique came over to help the girls make beaded bracelets! They were so proud of their creations!

We tried to keep Easton out (girls only!), but he kept making his way in somehow.

For her last surprise, Nana & Grampi held her eyes closed until Daddy rolled it to her for the reveal. At the rate her legs are growing, she’ll need a larger bike every year!

After the jewelry making was done, we had the rest of our family and “boy” cousins over for some cake!

Easton’s 3rd Birthday Party – TOY STORY

Right before we went to Disney in April, Easton began loving Buzz Lightyear. He likes to watch the whole Toy Story movie, but he especially loves when Buzz is on TV. Instead of an entire Buzz Lightyear party, we went with Toy Story in general to make it a little easier to decorate :)

Year three out of three it rained on his party day! Luckily, this year I had time to move everything inside.

Once again, my good friend Toni came through with an amazing cake. I wish ya’ll could have tasted it….it tasted as wonderful as it looked. She is super talented.

Easton adored his cake…and wanted to put his fingers in it terribly.

Before lighting the candles, Jules had to give Easton a tutorial on how to blow out the candles…”just in case he forgot since he was 2.”

He was all smiles when we sang Happy Birthday to him…he even sang a little himself!

Jules’ 6th Birthday Party – PAINT!

We invited the neighborhood girls over for some painting fun to celebrate Jules turning 6 years old. It was the easiest and most quiet birthday party ever!

Capture

I bought blank canvases and wooden initials for each girl to paint. Our summer babysitter is super talented and drew a picture on each canvas for the girls to color. They came out so precious.

Nana and I helped the girls get what colors they needed. They literally just sat there and painted. They were so well behaved! I had to get a radio to play some music since it was so quiet. Birthday win!

We made Jules hide her eyes for her present from Mom, Dad, Kennedy, & Easton. Poor baby has been needing a new bike for a while. She was super surprised! She does so well riding that big bike!

When the painting portion was over, we called our boy cousins and neighborhood friends over for cake. This was my first year at attempting a cake on my own. I decided on a cupcake pull-apart cake. I’m proud of myself for my first time trying – but I will stick to ordering them from now on :)

The finished products came out super cute – I have ours hanging in the playroom. They did such a good job on their little masterpieces. I hope you had a fun party, Julesy Wulsey!

Costume Party!

Our friends came together again – in costume this time! We had scary, cute, hilarious, and overall fun costumes. Everyone looked great….decorations included! I couldn’t choose on the pictures for this post, so I’m posting most – they just came out so cute!

Our family decided to dress as superheroes and villains this year. The kids were the heroes, and Mom & Dad were the villains. Seth looked extra creepy with his face paint – he played the part so well!

Kennedy’s 7th Birthday – Emoji Sleepover

When Kennedy asked to have a sleepover for her birthday, I was super nervous! We have never had a sleepover at our house before…I was worried about crying, how the dogs would handle it, and what time I would actually get to bed! They shocked me! These girls were so well behaved, and they were all sleeping for 11:00pm. Definitely a success!

We invited all her cousins and neighbors, and had 7 girls stay over to sleep. Easton was the only boy allowed ;)

We invited all her boy cousins and neighbors over for some cake and pizza before the sleepover started. She asked to have an emoji party, so that’s exactly how we decorated!

When it was cake time, Daddy lit 7 candles for the birthday girl. I double checked the candles when I bought them to make sure they weren’t “trick candles.” Apparently, I need to triple check, because a couple of those candles would not blow out! Luke had to come to the rescue :)

When it was present time, Kennedy loved opening new clothes, pillows, and an artist kit!

Out of all of her presents, I think her favorite one was her new books. This girl loves to read! Her class reads Junie B. Jones books when they have extra time, and she was shocked to get a couple of her own. She read all weekend, and she finished her first chapter book that Monday :)

Ribbet collage3

DSC_0547

Another one of her favorites was her very own camera. Since she is the selfie queen, I figured she would be super excited with her own camera. It works like a Poloroid camera, and it shoots the pictures out! She was able to put them in her very own album to keep in her room.

Next, we sent the boys home so that we could begin with the sleepover fun!

DSC_0558

They started off by coloring a page I created for them with their names. We hung them on the fireplace when they were done.

Next, we played Emoji Bingo. They loved it so much, I think we played two or three times!

Ribbet collage6

DSC_0570

We then had a disco dance party! We turned out all the lights, gave everyone glow sticks, and turned up some dance music. They were laughing, dancing, singing – it was so cute! Even Daddy joined in on the fun. They were laughing at his dance moves :)

My camera wouldn’t focus with all the light action, so I eventually had to turn on the flash :(

When they woke up the next morning, they had Emoji muffins and Emjoi pancakes for breakfast!

Easton’s 2nd Birthday Party – Mickey Baseball

icm_fullxfull_130609693_1781l8u2vm2o80c8sssc

It was easy to decorate for Easton’s Mickey Baseball party – we had most of the baseball decorations from his room already…and I just added ears to everything! I bought cheap white tablecloths and painted baseball thread and mickey ears on all.

Thank goodness I took pictures before the mini hurricane passed through right before the party started! It lasted about 10 minutes…good enough to soak everything. I was drenched, my hair was a hot mess, but Easton could have cared less! I guess that’s what matters the most!

Even though we had a water slide blown up, my boy just wanted to play ball (shocker). His Pappy and Grampi threw and kicked ball with him while the other kids played on the slide. This is seriously what he wants to do all day long!

The biggest surprise of all – Mickey Mouse himself – came to visit Easton on his birthday! At first he just stared…and then Mickey Mouse picked him up, and Easton freaked out! He was screaming. It took him a little while, but he finally warmed up to his idol.

Jules’ 5th Birthday Party – MOANA

Our latest movie on repeat has been Moana! I surely don’t mind, because it’s super cute movie, and I love the soundtrack! Jules was so excited to have a slip-n-slide Moana party for her birthday this year :)

Blog

We were nervous about the weather, but when Jules woke up that morning she assured me that she prayed for the weather to stay away! Jesus must have listened, because it did not rain until the party was over!
